I recently applied for a new scheme from North West Media and Vision and got it. The scheme is a 6 month placement at Liverpool agency Splinter Design.

That does mean that i’ve now left Black and Ginger. I feel like i’ve done some good work since i’ve been there but now its time for me to broaden my horizons. This scheme will give me more of an opportunity to learn and develop new skills.

No plans for in 6 months time though. I’m flying on the edge of my seat with this one.

Just put the new black and ginger site live. Its built with indexhibit for an easy maintainable cms. I’m very aware that there may be bugs so if anyone notices one please email me.

Also, i’ve just completed my first major project. I was project lead for a client called Shove based Liverpool and the brief was to complete a CD-ROM portfolio for them. I directed a 1 minute intro animation for it utilising shoves 3d skills and my own 2d and editing skills. That then leads into an xml flash gallery so that they can show their images and videos and also update it themselves.

Well, i think i’m actually gonna stick to this style for my website for longer than a week. I’ll be working on it for the next few days. Its done with indexhibit which is a very handy resource.

From Thursday 4th September to Sunday 7th September I filmed and Twittered about “La Princesse” for the BBC.

“La Princesse” was part of the Liverpool 08 Capital of Culture celebrations and was a giant mechanical spider created by French company La Machine.

My role was to be a mobile correspondent filming, photographing and blogging via Twitter for the BBC Liverpool 08 site. The experience was amazing and I feel like i made some new friends and learnt some newskills.

I had several videos selected for showing and several photographs used on the BBC Liverpool 08 site. At one point I had the featured video on the homepage and continuously had my photographs on the BBC La Machine page, 3 in total. The work should be on the BBC Liverpool 08 site until the end of the year.

One of my photos was also used for online news site ‘Nowpublic‘.

I went out today as a correspondent for the BBC for the first time and got some work up on the homepage of the BBC Liverpool 08 site. I made the video that is on the homepage and took the photo that is the main image on the La Machine page.

Just set up another blog. This ones on Tumblr. Its really good for adding simple content quick and easy so i’m going to use it to add stuff i like.

Be warned: There will be nudity.

More on the La Machine i’m Vblogging for the BBC.

Now its started i can tell you there’s a giant spider roaming around liverpool for a few days. I’m pretty excited.

Where I can i’ll post links to the work i do on this. All work will be on the BBC Liverpool 08 website.

As part of the Liverpool 08 Capital of Culture celebrations, La Machine will be in Liverpool. Many people will be taking part or documenting this event including the BBC who i will be working for during the event as a vblogger and twitterer. The event is starting today and i’ll post some links when its up and going.

For now check out the Liverpool 08 Twitter and the Liverpool 08 site.

Just setting up

Well, i’ve been busy at work lately and been neglecting my site and i now have a list as long as my arm of stuff i want to do. Better get cracking then. This is one of the first steps – to create a blog just about me and what i’m up to. If you get interested then you’ll find me all over the net. This blog is to keep people informed of what i’m up to.
